Every Day is like Summer with You

We live in a fishes’ water
We fly in their ocean blue.
And even when frozen over,
Every day is like summer with you.

Your voice makes my cheeks turn rosy
And your touch makes me melt alive
While I may pretend this is easy,
You’re burning me up inside.

I turn on the AC: icy.
I’ll sit in my freezer door.
But I know the moment you walk in,
I’ll lose my cool once more!

Dear, when we’re walking slowly,
And our fingers entwined swing free...
I hardly think of the tough times.
I’m just glad you’re walking with me.

We stroll through the changing seasons,
And fall drops as winters do.
Your kindness, like spring, it warms me.
Every day is like summer with you.
